Some interesting interwebs discoveries for today
At 11am (AEDT) tomorrow, 3rd January 2008 the Earth is at perihelion (the closest point in its orbit to the Sun). The Earth/Sun distance is 0.983280 astronomical units (AU) which is equivalent to 147,096,721km. The average distance between the Earth and the Sun is 149,598,00km, or 1AU.
Also on third 3rd January 2008 at 7pm, Moon is at apogee (furthest from Earth at 405,331km). Just in case you cared.
Another interesting thing I came across today at this webcam. It appears to be from Carol-Anne’s Real Estate. But I know not which one. I watched it for around twenty mintes, and to me, it become apparent that the lady in the store was cracking the shits. I was monitoring her body language which I thought was rather forthright. I strung a few screen shots together. Interesting. Looks like they close at midday, too.
